Ink Becoming

Each stroke carries a fleeting moment of thought, shaped by time and place. Whether formed in solitude or through shared creation, the practice continues quietly. These works are traces of what has been, while gently pointing toward what comes next.

Fashion Magazine “WestEast Magazine”

Since childhood, I have loved fashion and dreamed of one day bringing calligraphy and fashion together. WestEast Magazine, founded in Hong Kong in 2001, is a fashion and culture publication that bridges Asian and Western aesthetics, featuring themes of style, art, design, and lifestyle. This collaboration with some of the finest artists became a deeply inspiring experience for me. I still vividly remember the joy of working together and the lasting impression it left on my heart.

La mer

La mer

“La mer” was created for my solo exhibition La Coastline. I mixed sumi ink with blue metallic pigment and worked while gazing at the Atlantic Ocean, about an hour from my home. I guided my brush while reflecting on the shimmer, undulation, and vastness of the sea. The work is a visual echo of that meditative seascape.

Fleurs vues à travers les nuages

Fleurs vues à travers les nuages

This piece, titled Flowers Seen Through the Clouds, was part of my canvas-blue series and exhibited at Fleurir ensemble—my debut show at Gallery Wada in Ginza. It marked a lifelong dream come true: exhibiting at a commercial gallery with a street-facing presence in central Tokyo. The joy of that day will remain with me always.

SNCF Performance

SNCF Performance

Set at Bordeaux’s Saint-Jean Station, this was a collaborative performance themed around light, rhythm, and transparency—featuring dance, music, and calligraphy. Under the historic glass roof, three artists with ties to Bordeaux came together for a unique creative moment. The shoot and rehearsals spanned three days. I feel deeply grateful to have been chosen among many talented French artists as a foreigner. This piece remains one of my signature performances.

This was my very first professional commission—designing the logo for a non-profit organisation that supported the Louvre Museum’s international outreach.
